March 2003 when the Australian band was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. The band was finally inducted after being in the muscial industry for over 30 years although tt wasn't much of a surprise for the Australian band since they had been invited and declined in earlier years. Malcolm Young states clearly in the passage, "We've been around 30 years, y'know? So me and Angus certainly aren't too impressed with it all. But we'll do it because we don't want to be (jerks)." The band was inducted by ex Aerosmith member, Steven Tyler. AC/DC members say that even though Bon Scott was dead, he still accompanied them in their spirit adn he would be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame along with the band. If the band had been inducted earlier would they have had a higher influence in rock music throughout their career?

AC/DC was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1988. ARIA stands for Australian Recording Industry Association. The ARIA has certain rules that have to be met in order to be inducted. Some of these include having 20 years of having started in the musical industry and having a cultural impact in Australia or in the world. The year after the ARIA was created, AC/DC was nominated and inducted into the awards. AC/DC was nominated with the best pop/rock band. The bands induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame may have been what caused the band to begin getting noticed worldwide and this may have been what influenced the badn to get nominated for several awards in the following years. If ARIA hadn't nominated and inducted AC/DC would they have still been the major influenec in the rock industry?

According to an article posted on the internet, the Australian rock band, AC/DC, has been honored in Spain, by giving the band a name of a street. On March 20th, 2000, Angus and Malcolm Young both went to Spain in order to witness the unveiling of the street being named after the band. The street was called "Calle de AC/DC" which means "AC/DC street." This occured in Leganes, a city near Madrid, and the idea of naming the street after the band was given by the mayor, Jose Perez Raiz. After the sign was introduced to the public, it was stolen several times, thus causing the city to have to sell replicas of it. AC/DC has been a huge impact all around the world, that they deserved to have the  recognition that they acquired. They have outsold numerous concerts around the world, and they have been given the title that corresponds to their great success. What may have caused the mayor, Jose Perez Raiz, to want to name the street after the band ?
